A new Pope has been elected

Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergolio has become the first man in the modern era from outside Europe to lead the Roman Catholic Church, according to NBC News Erin McClam. He is also the first pope to come from the Jesuit tradition founded in the 16th century by St. Ignatius Loyola. Pope Francis is 76-year-old and has spent practically his entire career in Argentina where he calls home, overseeing churches during his time there. Continue reading
